Maple Syrup Grand-Pères Recipe Gluten-free, dairy-free (casein-free),
hypotoxic and vegan

ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

Dough:

  • 140 g (1 cup) all-purpose flour "La Merveilleuse"
  • 10 ml (2 tsp) baking powder
  • 1 ml (1/4 tsp) salt
  • 125 g (1/2 cup) plant-based milk substitute
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) light olive oil
  • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract

Sauce:

  • 640 g (2 cups) maple syrup
  • 250g (1 cup) water

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Add plant-based milk substitute, oil and vanilla. Stir with a wooden spoon until smooth (the dough will be quite thick).
  3. In a large saucepan, bring maple syrup and water to a boil over medium heat.
  4. Using a spoon, place the dough in the boiling liquid (about 15 ml / 1 tablespoon of dough per serving).
  5. Cover and keep the heat to a minimum.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes without removing the lid, then remove from heat.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
