ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
- 140 g (1 cup) all-purpose flour "La Merveilleuse"
- 30 g (1/3 cup) cocoa
- 30 g (1/4 cup) hemp hearts
- 7,5 ml (1 1/2 tsp) baking powder
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) salt
- 2 medium eggs (90 g)
- 180 g (3/4 cup) plant-based milk substitute*
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) light olive oil
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) maple syrup
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
PREPARATION
- In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa, hemp hearts, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, blend the eggs, milk substitute, oil, maple syrup, and vanilla with an electric mixer until foamy.
- Add the flour mixture and beat with electric mixer on high until batter thickens (about 1 minute).
- Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Spoon some batter onto a preheated and oiled waffle iron. Spread lightly if needed and cook until golden.
- For crispy waffles, brush the griddle with oil after each waffle.
