ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

  • 140 g (1 cup) all-purpose flour "La Merveilleuse"
  • 30 g (1/3 cup) cocoa
  • 30 g (1/4 cup) hemp hearts
  • 7,5 ml (1 1/2 tsp) baking powder
  • 1 ml (1/4 tsp) salt
  • 2 medium eggs (90 g)
  • 180 g (3/4 cup) plant-based milk substitute*
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) light olive oil
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) maple syrup
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa, hemp hearts, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, blend the eggs, milk substitute, oil, maple syrup, and vanilla with an electric mixer until foamy.
  3. Add the flour mixture and beat with electric mixer on high until batter thickens (about 1 minute).
  4. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes.
  5. Spoon some batter onto a preheated and oiled waffle iron. Spread lightly if needed and cook until golden.
  6. For crispy waffles, brush the griddle with oil after each waffle.
