Homestyle Hot Chocolate Recipe Gluten-free, dairy-free (casein-free),
hypotoxic and vegan

ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) cocoa
  • 500 g (2 cups) plant-based milk substitute
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) maple syrup
  • 2.5 ml (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract

PREPARATION

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa and plant-based milk substitute.
  2. Add maple syrup and vanilla.
  3. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly.
  4. Pour into two cups... and sip away!

You can place a cinnamon stick in each cup and let the hot chocolate rest for a few minutes. This will impart a sweet hint of cinnamon.

* I admit to having a soft spot for chocolate.... If you find the taste a little too chocolatey, you can simply add a little more plant-based milk substitute!
