- 30 ml ( 2 tbsp) chia
- 3.5 ml (3/4 tsp) salt
- 5 ml (1 tsp) instant yeast
- 385 g (1 2/3 cups) water at 45° C (113 °F)
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) light olive oil
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) maple syrup
- Hemp seeds for garnish
- 7 5-inch (12 cm) pie plates in diameter
PREPARATION
- In a large bowl, combine flour, chia, salt and yeast. Then add the water, oil and maple syrup.
- Stir vigorously, either with a wooden spoon, electric mixer or stand mixer with a flat paddle, on medium speed, about two minutes.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let stand for 45 minutes at room temperature. After this rest time, stir well with a wooden spoon.
- Oil pie plates. Place the dough in the pie plates: (about 120 g) per serving. Spread the dough evenly with a wet spatula, then sprinkle hemp seeds on top to taste.
- Place in the oven on the central grill, with the light on, and let rise for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Without removing the hamburger buns, turn on the oven at 180° C (350° F).
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until golden brown.
- Unmould and let cool on a wire rack.
Enjoy your meal!

VARIATION
This bun recipe can also become your daily bread! After the first rise, place the dough in a 9-inch x 5-inch (23 cm x 13 cm) loaf pan, oiled and covered with parchment paper. Then follow the usual instructions and simply cook longer: 60 to 70 minutes. A bread that will please even fans of "traditional" bread!
