- 185 g (3/4 cup) plant-based milk substitute*
- 70 g (1/3 cup) light-tasting olive oil
- 70 g (3 tbsp) maple syrup
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
- 3,5 ml (3/4 tsp) almond extract
- 75 g 70% dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
PREPARATION
- Finely grind 70 g (1/2 cup) of hazelnuts in a coffee grinder, and coarsely chop the remaining 30 g (1/4 cup). Place everything in a large bowl.
- Grind the chia seeds in a coffee grinder and add them to the hazelnuts.

- Using a wooden spoon, fold the chocolate into the dough. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Place a portion of the batter onto the preheated, lightly oiled waffle iron, then cook until golden brown.
- To get good, crispy waffles, lightly brush the cooking surface of the waffle iron with oil between each use.
