Turkey chili Recipe Gluten-free and dairy-free (casein-free).

YIELD: 3 LITERS (12 cups)
ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) dried chives
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) dried cilantro
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) onion powder
- 10 ml (2 tsp) paprika
- 7,5 ml (1 1/2 tsp) ground cumin
- 3,5 ml (3/4 tsp) ground coriander
- 2,5 ml (1/2 tsp) garlic powder
- 0,5 ml (1/8 tsp) Cayenne pepper
- 0,5 ml (1/8 tsp) ground chili
- 2,5 ml (1/2 tsp) salt
- 1 ml (1/4 tsp) pepper
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
- 1 yellow onion, finely minced
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed or minced
- 680 g (1 1/2 lbs) ground turkey
- 3 carrots, peeled and chopped
- 4 celery branches, chopped
- 500 g (3 cups) cooked black beans or ou 2 398 ml cans of black beans, rinsed and drained
- 796 ml (28 oz) can of crushed tomatoes
- 680 ml (24 oz) can of tomato sauce*
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) tomato paste
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) maple syrup
PREPARATION
- In a small bowl, mix the dried herbs, spices, salt and pepper. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan, heat the oil. Fry the onion and garlic over medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Add the spice mix and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring continuously to enhance the flavors.
- Add the minced turkey, carrots and celery and continue cooking until the meat is cooked.
- In the slow cooker container, mix all the ingredients.
- Cover and cook according to the chosen cooking method as indicated above.

TIP
* Pay special attention when buying your tomato sauce. It should not be confused with tomato sauce, which has a much higher sodium content.
