Gluten-Free Playdough


ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour "La Merveilleuse"
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown rice flour
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) table salt
  • 12.5 ml (2 1/2 tsps) cream of tartar
  • 250 ml (1 cup) hot water
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) vegetable oil
  • Food color dye

PREPARATION

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all-purpose flour, brown rice flour, salt and cream of tartar.
  2. Add hot water and oil and stir briskly with a whisk.
  3. Color to taste and stir again.
  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the dough forms a ball in the pan. You'll really see the texture transform as you cook!
  5. Allow to cool on the counter (to speed up the cooling, I shape the dough into a roll about 10 inches long).
